There are some very cool 3D games included with this app as well.

Your goal is to eliminate demons and gather the crystals that they drop. Those will enhance your life and give you more ammunition for your future fights. The game comes with multiple modes and has 15 stages that you can take advantage of to keep yourself entertained on the road. Of course, you can always try your hands in the survival mode to see how long you can last.

The game is quite easy to get a handle on. All you have to do is tilt your phone to move and touch your enemies to shoot. Weapons can be upgraded as well if you need better tools to fight your enemies. It’s also nice that you can compare your scores with what others have done online. The game is OpenFeint compatible which is always a plus.

Ghosts’n Zombies may not make you smarter but it can certainly help when you are having some down time or are just bored. The game is very easy to pick up and is a good time killer. The graphics and controls are decent as well. Well worth a try.

One thing I can’t get enough of on my iPhone is the huge set of action, intense games available for the platform. There are plenty of action games on iPhone that put PSP games to shame. Take Crazy Choppers for example. It’s a very addictive action/flying game that involves you attacking your enemies with your helicopter and collecting crates in the process. The game did remind of the good old days with my Atari, but the graphics are so much better and the game is obviously much more sophisticated.

The concept is very simple, but the execution has made this game very exciting. There are plenty of tanks, vehicles, and airborne enemies that you have to deal with if you want to complete this game. You have got various environments to battle your enemies, and the game has over 20 levels. They may seem simple at first, but controlling the helicopter by tilting your phone can be a bit challenging, especially as you get to more complicated levels. All in all, Crazy Choppers is an intensive action game for iPhone that can keep you entertained for a while. It’s action packed and well-designed. The graphics could be a bit better and a bit pricey at $2.99 but if you are bored, this game could come in handy.

I don’t know about you but I am a big fan of survival games on iPhone. These games can be challenging, and they are a load of fun. So if you are having some down time and are bored, nothing can get you back in a good mood than playing a fun survival game. MiniGore is a fun survival shooter game that lets you do just that. You are a little guy running around an area full of strange creatures, and your goal is to shoot these creatures down and survive as long as you can.

The controls are very intuitive and fun. You essentially have two sticks. One to control the movement, and one to control the shooting direction. If you really want to survive this game, you won’t stay still. These hairy creatures are vicious, and they can terminate you in a flash. You do have 3 weapons to fight them off though: a machine gun, a shot gun, and a booby trap. It’s really fun trying these weapons on these creatures.

The 3D graphics are superb and the game play is very addictive and fun. There are various types of enemies that could come at you from any direction, so you better stay focused when playing this game. You can always collect four-leaf clovers and take your true form to destroy those pesky creatures.

Minigore is one of the most addictive survival games for iPhone. The graphics are superb, and the expert mode will keep you entertained for quite a while. I do prefer to see more enemies and having the ability to use more devastating weapons would add to the fun. The controls are very intuitive as well, though you do want to take breaks every 20 minutes or so to avoid hurting your fingers (it’s so addictive you may lose track of time). So if you are looking for a killer survival game to play on your iPhone, Minigore is a very good choice.

I have got to admit, I am a big fan of castle games on iPhone, and there are quite a number of them around. But Knights Onrush has got to be among the elite apps in this category. The game involves you trying to defend your home castle against the enemies by killing the wizards, bombers, assassins, and much more. But this is no ordinary defense.  You get a whole lot of cool method to crush your enemies and protect what matters the most.

What I like about Knights Onrush is the fact that it’s so easy to get a handle on. You get 12 castles to defend and 11 types of enemies. Not all enemies are the same, which is why you get various methods to crush them. Your defensive options are:

• Boulder Thrower
• Fireball
• Squasher
• Freezer
• Flamethrower
• and much more

You also get three different landscapes to keeps things interesting. The game can be challenging at times, but it’s a whole lot of fun trying to defend your castle against all these enemies. And you don’t have to be a genius to realize how much work the developers have put behind developing this app. A short look at the graphics should give you a good idea.

Knights Onrush is a challenging castle game on steroids. The game will keep you on your toes and your defensive weapons are fun to play and experiment with. And if you think the game is great now, wait till you see what the developers are planning for the next editions. There are going to be more levels, cooler enemies, and more defense options. All in all, Knights Onrush is one of the best castle games for iPhone that we have tried.

There is just something about the Spartans that make them so intriguing. Whether it’s the movies or all the games that have been made about them, Spartans always have something interesting to offer. And that is exactly what you get with Hero of Sparta. It is a wonderful action game that involves you defying the gods and completing extreme challenges. As King Argos, your goal is to fight your way through the Underworld and slay lots of demons on your way to the finish.

I have to admit this game comes with the best graphics I have seen on iPhone so far. By playing the game for a while, you are going to realize how much effort the developers have put in to design this game. The controls were easy as well. You can use the virtual stick to guide your character and do combos with your fingers. The 360 degrees view makes this game so much fun to play.

You get 8 cool levels with Hero of Sparta. You are going to face a lot of monsters with crazy powers (beware of that Cerberus). You also have 5 weapons to upgrade and you can collect goodies as you go. Hero of Sparta is God of War meets Devil May Cry. It’s so much fun, and the graphics are out of this world. If you are into intense action games, you are going to love Hero of Sparta.

WarShip is an exciting action game that involves you going to war against powerful warships and their weapons on the sea. Your goal is to defend against enemy attacks and sink your enemies. But you will have to fight against pirates as well. So in a sense this game is Master and Commander meets Pirates of the Caribbean. As you defend against enemy attacks, you get better warships and the special features that go with them. You also get trophies for your efforts, but you have to protect them too!

I found the controls to be very intuitive and the graphics are brilliant. The game can be difficult at times as you try to outmaneuver your enemies. Shooting can’t be easier on this app. You can shoot your cannons by touching anywhere on the screen. But you have to be on your toes to pick up trophies as your enemies drop it. What was exciting about this game is the new goodies that you can upgrade to. Better ships and better weapons lead to better results, so don’t get discouraged with your initial weapons.

All in all, Warship is another exciting action/adventure game for iPhone. It’s a whole lot of fun and very challenging at the same time. If sea games are your thing, you are going to love Warship.

Talk about a killer flight simulator for iPhone. Sully’s Flight is the reenactment of Chesley Sullenberger’s flight of January 15th from LaGuardia. Remember the Hudson river miracle? You’ve got to give credit to the programmers behind this game for taking that angle and making it work big time on this app.

You start at LaGuardia in an Airbus A-320 at similar time and weather that the captain experienced a few months ago. Your goal is to duplicate the outcome, this time on your iPhone. I am sure a lot of you appreciate what the hero captain accomplished on that day. But for those of you who think you could’ve done it too, let’s see if you are up for the task on your iPhone.

The game is not that hard. As long as you can avoid losing control when the birds hit you, you are going to be fine. But don’t underestimate this game. If you do, you are going to crash badly. And don’t forget that you are supposed to get hit by those birds. That’s the whole point behind this game. And don’t forget that the Captain did it in real life. If you are looking for a realistic flight simulator, Sully’s Flight is another good option.

Super Sniper by Coresoft is an arcade iPhone application game that features real time Sniper scope zooming where you get to fight the terrorists and put them out of their misery. You have got a spotter that will call out your next target with a radio link so you can shoot it down. You have got only a few seconds to pull the trigger, or you will get shot by these terrorists.

Now things can get tougher with Super Sniper. If there is a hostage involved, you will need to go for the heard. Of course, if you kill the hostage, your game is over. You get bonuses for head shots, and you get rewarded for killing these guys fast.

Super Sniper uses the tilt and pan feature to allow you to control your Sniper. I found aiming to be a little bit inaccurate and tough to get right. I also did not like the fact that you can’t shoot the terrorist down by aiming for their arm or their weapon. There are also a few minor glitches that will be fixed in the next update.But overall, if you are a fan of sniper games, you are going to find this application fun.

Shooting game fans, rejoice! Brothers In Arms is one of the best shooting games on the iPhone. You get to play as a hero solider of the 101st Airborne in the WWII era. If you are a fan of gaming, you are probably familiar with the franchise on other platforms. On the iPhone, you get 13 missions and 3 campaigns:

• Normandy
• Ardennes
• Tunisia

The graphics for this game are simply breathtaking for a mobile game. And let’s not forget that driving a Sherman tank can be fun too. You get bazookas, sniper rifles, and machine guns to defend yourself (the first being my absolute favorite).

Brothers In Arms is compatible with both iPhone and iPod Touch, but you want to make sure that you update your iPhone software to V.2.1. Brother In Arms Hour of Heroes is a great game to own, though you may want to take time to master the controls. It’s a little bit pricey too, though the developers have put a lot of work to develop the game and its breath taking graphics. If you are a fan of shooting games, you should definitely give this application a try.
