The advance notifications give you the chance to prepare for the important dates coming up with enough time at hand.

You don’t have to enter the dates into this app manually. You can import them from your address-book. Every time you give someone a gift, just record it in the app for future references. In short, Birthday Cal is a pretty nice app to have to avoid forgetting the birthdays of the important people in your life.

TouchBase Calendar is more than a simple appointment manager for iPhone. It grabs all the relevant information from your iPhone calendar and saves you time staying on the right track. When you add an appointment to your calendar, TouchBase grabs your information and shows you where and who you will be meeting. It also gives you the option to keep the other parties updated on your status.

TouchBase Calendar has an elegant and intuitive interface. The developers have gone out of their way to make this app work as painlessly as possible. TouchBase has you covered even if you don’t know where you are going. Running late? Letting others know could not get any easier. I like the fact that it works with MobileMe, Google, CalDAV, and other popular types of calendars.

TouchBase Calendar is a brilliant calendar well worth picking up for anyone with a ton of events to keep up on a regular basis. It can act as your personal assistant and keep you on the right track at all times. When paired with Siri, the sky’s the limit for it.

Pocket Calendar: lets you manage your existing events and create new events fast on your phone. You can even do your changes offline and upload them to Google Calendar when you are connected. Password protection is offered too.

Pocket Informant: still one of our favorites. It is more than just a Google Calendar client. You can use it to manage your tasks. Syncs with Toodledo and Outlook too.

CCal for iPhone: allows you to quickly rearrange your busy schedule on your iPhone. You can change your schedule via drag/drop.

iPhone’s calendar is decent, but it is no replacement for Google Calendar. Pocket Calendar is an attractive application that lets users keep track of their daily tasks and events. This app has multiple views to make users’ lives easier when playing with it. Events can be added to your calendar fast. Not connected to the Internet? Just make your changes, and they get uploaded to your account the next time you are online.

The Day view is quite useful as it helps you focus on your most important tasks first. The List view can give you a good overview of what tasks you have ahead of you. The app supports 1 way or 2 way syncs, which is nice. Pocket Calendar offers password protection for your calendar too.

Pocket Calendar is a very beautiful client for Google Calendar. It is fast and looks good too. A must have for those who rely heavily on Google Calendar to manage their daily life.

Qwixt Calendar has an impressively intuitive interface. Unlike other calendars that have too many bells and whistles, Qwixt Calendar stays out of your way and does not make your life difficult.

Creating and moving events could not be any easier in this app (it just takes a tap or two). Colored categories are supported too. Users can setup alerts, contacts, notes, and much more per event. The graphical nature of this calendar makes it so easy to guess what each day will have in store for you.

Qwixt does support calendar sharing with other Qwixt users. Just set up a group and pick the categories you want to share. Users can join other Qwixt groups as well, which makes this app perfect for group events and organizations.

All in all, Qwixt Calendar is a powerful event calendar that is easy to use and does what it promises. Great solution for those of you who will be jumping from one event to another all the time.

What struck me the first about Extreme Agenda was its interface. It’s quite intuitive and does not require users to jump through hoops. The app offers multiple views. You will have multiple background and color themes to choose from. It does have various icons for you to choose from to mark your events.

Adding new items to your calendar does not take more than a couple of taps. You have plenty of options to change the way your calendar looks (multiple views). Extreme Agenda can pull information from your contacts. Having the ability to add icons and categories to events is nice too.

Extreme Agenda does have a decent task manager (though it could be a tad bit easier to use). It would also be nice to be able to use this app in both portrait and landscape modes. Some online sync capability would be great too.

Extreme Agenda has a lot of potential. It has an attractive interface and has a ton of options that can be customized. Let’s hope the developers continue adding more features to it.

Weekly Calendar has an iCal like capability. It has a quite attractive look and feel. Organizing your events could not be any easier (using touch and flick). Need to add an appointment? Just double tap and you are set.

Weekly Calendar does let you modify how your calendar is displayed. You can use colors for your events to help you better differentiate between them. It can sync with other calendars, which is nice.

All in all, Weekly Calendar is one heck of a calendar app for iPhone. It makes it easy to keep up with your upcoming events. It’s easy on your eyes too.

Using visuals to keep track of tasks can save you time. Pictures can be worth thousands of words at times. They can be especially handy if you have too much on your plate each day and don’t want to spend your whole day going through your plans and notes. IconCal has a straightforward interface. It has over a hundred icons that you can drag and drop to associate with your events. Icons can be re-sized, so it’s possible to have multiple icons per day on your calendar.

IconCal lets you create your own icons too. Just take a picture or choose an existing image from your library. This calendar is pretty colorful and makes tracking those must-do tasks less painful.

IconCal may not work out for everyone. The trouble is some of us respond to visuals better than others. If you have tried traditional calendar apps and want to go with something different, IconCal is worth checking out.

Diacarta is not your average planner application. It has a beautiful interface and has over 50 icons for you to choose from. These icons are developed to create a better mental figure for you (as far as your daily tasks are concerned). Users can easily add events and associate unique icons to each.

If you need to schedule your events, you can just grab an icon and drag it to the right place on your clock. Of course, you can update your events from their details page. It certainly beats using a simple list.

Diacarta is very intuitive and quite dynamic. The icons are attractive and help you get a better sense of what’s ahead of you each day. Scheduling and managing your events couldn’t be any easier. It is a truly unique app for those who lead a hectic life.

Streaks is like your regular calendar but with a twist. It keeps track of the number of days you have stayed on track. Knowing how long your streak has lasted and how tough it has been can sometimes motivate you to take it further. The app does allow you to track multiple goals. So you can keep building those streaks.

Nobody is perfect, and we all experience lapses towards reaching our goals. Streaks keeps track of your longest streaks and shows you how far you have to go to match or surpass it. It does help that the app looks good and is very easy to work with. I do like to have the ability to attach notes to each day. Still, a very decent motivational calendar for those who are trying to quit a bad habit or stick with their resolutions.
