GolfLink GPS can keep track of your scores and three other players. The app can calculate your distance even if your GPS feature does not work. All you have to do is drag your ball on your course overlay on your iPhone.

GolfLink GPS is a decent application for anyone looking to play golf in their area while looking to improve their game. There are no recurring fees for using this app. Adding more aerial pictures would definitely help here. The app does eat battery, so you want to make sure you have enough juice before getting on your course. Still, this is better than paying $300+ for a golf GPS that you won’t be using that often.

Executive Caddie can act as your personal rangefinder. It tells you the distance to front, back, or center of the green in a flash. It even provides you with an Aerial map view of your course to give you a better sense of what you need to do on a specific course. You can always zoom in and out to get a better sense of your current situation.

You can’t get your Golf game to the next level if you don’t keep track of your stats. This app does that for you. It can keep scores for up to 4 golfers. You can add hole by hole comments and attach photos to your rounds for future references. The app can e-mail you your stats after each round, which is very helpful.

All in all, Executive Caddie: Pro is a very handy app that can save you the trouble of having to buy a dedicated Golf GPS. It can keep track of your stats and help you make better decisions on your course. It supports plenty of courses, which helps. The companion website is a plus as well. It’s a very nice tool for all golf lovers.

I found Tiki Golf’s graphics to be superb, and the game play to be very exciting. You get 3 playing modes to keep you on your toes:

• Time Trial (my favorite)

You can also unlock things which makes the game even more exciting. The 18 courses that you get with this app is more than enough to keep you entertained for a while. The multiple worlds are fun to navigate as well.

All in all, Tiki Golf 3G is a fun application that can entertain you in those down times. It’s easy to pick up and fun to play. It doesn’t get too old soon either. It’s certainly worth its price.

It ships with over 14,000 golf courses in the U.S., which means you will have all the information you need to have a great day on any golf course.

I found ProCreative Golf 09 to be very easy to use and the design is very intuitive. The information on 14,000+ courses included with this app help you find out about their websites, address, or even phone numbers. The coordinates for 1,500 courses have been included as well. You don’t need to sync your device with a PC to take advantage of all these features, which is a plus.

Sports apps are among the most popular app category on iTunes. And Golf games are among the more entertaining batch of sports games made on the top of iPhone platform. AnyTime Golf is a super iPhone game for anyone who’s interested in playing golf while they are on the go. Anytime Golf uses a modern set of 3D graphics to bring you a load of golf fun when you are down.

The first time I tried Anytime Golf, I was struck by how much effort the developer had put into developing the amazing 3D graphics that you see in this app. But this is more than just a beautiful game. The interface was easy to navigate and the game play was a load of fun. All you have to do is use your fingers to perform backswings and downswings. As you can guess, you can change the speed and accuracy of the shots easily with your fingers. Swinging hard and accurately takes a bit of skill, so don’t be discouraged if you can’t make a good shot in your first try. It took me a few tries to get it.

What I love about this game is the fact that you get to unlock new challenges as you play your way through this game. There are 5 “unlockable” challenges and 6 challenges in total. You can also practice before joining tournaments (I strongly recommend you do).

Overall, AnyTime Golf is a super 3D Golf game for iPhone. The game is pretty straight forward and the challenges are exciting. I would love to see more challenges, and it would be great to have more characters to choose from as your golfer. But if you love Golf, you’d be missing out big time if you don’t give AnyTime Golf a try.

Caddy.Me is your very own personal golf caddy, expect you have it all on your iPhone. Caddy.Me is a distance finder and a scorecard all in one application. CaddyMe uses Google maps to help you determine the distance to your targets. You’ll have a satellite image available to you which you can use to mark your targets. Caddy.Me works on most courses around the world, but you’ve got to have your GPS and Internet working for that to happen. You give your target location to Caddy.Me and it will automatically estimate your distance. That’s really helpful if you need help in this area and don’t have your own Caddy to consult.

The scorecard is yet another useful feature for all golfers. You enter the name of the players, their handicaps, and the number of strokes for each hole. Your data is secured on your iPhone and available when you need it.

The idea behind Caddy.Me is very innovative. It clearly addresses the need of many golfers around the world. The application has so much potential and don’t be surprised if new features are added in the near future.
