The Blockwick game is very simple to pick up. You get all kinds of blocks with different shapes. Your goal is to put them together. As you do, their symbols light up. The graphics in this game are cool looking. The game play is simple but could get challenging as you work your way through the first 60 puzzles. If you need more puzzles, you can always pay for them.

Blockwick is not the most challenging puzzle we have tested on iPhone. But it looks good and is easy to get started with. The game has a lot of potential. We would love to get more free levels though.

Ninja Throw is all about throwing those stars. That’s easier said than done though. In order to hit the gong in each level, you will have to think outside the box. For starters, you will have to find a way around physical obstacles. The Sensei characters add a cool twist to the game. They attract and repel your stars.

Ninja Throw is super easy to pick up. The graphics are not 3D but quite decent for this game genre. Ninja Throw looks deceptively easy. But it does have its challenging moments. Online scoring is supported too. I would love to see more challenging levels and twists added to the game though.

Rubik’s Cubic is the official adaptation of Rubik’s Cube game for iPhone. It not only includes the classic 3 by 3 puzzle, it comes in other sizes to enhance your experience.  (max 5 x 5 x 5). There are 24 styles you can play in this game. The anaglyph 3D mode in this app is pretty fun too.

Rubik’s Cubic has great graphics and is easy to control. It can not only kill your time, it can improve your problem solving skills. Users can customize their background and add their own pictures to the cube. Since this game tracks your time, you can always try to beat your own record. So the game does not get old fast.

If you are a fan of Rubik’s Cube and don’t mind playing it on your smartphone, you should give Rubik’s Cubic a look. It has intuitive controls and crazy levels to keep you busy for a while.

The goal in this game is quite simple. You should connect your electrical circuits in the correct pattern to finish each level. That is easier said than done, especially as levels you tackle get harder. Considering the nature of the game, you will probably never run out of new puzzles to play on your device. The help feature is nice to have. Redo/undo options are available too.

Crazy Circuit is one of the better brain teasers we have tested. If you are a fan of puzzles such as Sudoku, you are going to enjoy this title. If you are looking for a brain-challenging game that does not get old, Crazy Circuit is well worth a consideration.

The layout is not the only thing that sets HexaLex apart from other crosswords games. It lets you play words in three directions instead of two. You have multiple computer opponents to choose from. Online gaming is supported too. Want to keep track of your stats? Maybe you need to shuffle tiles. HexaLex has you covered.

HexaLex has a beautiful interface. One does not have to be a genius to realize the effort the developers have put in to make this app as gamer-friendly as possible. The achievements make playing this puzzle a lot of fun. If you have been playing crossword puzzles and can’t get enough of them, you may want to give HexaLex a look.

Vexagon Mobile comes with 7 sections, each section with 7 hexagons. Each section (or flowers as it is called by the developer) needs to have the numbers 1 through 7. You also have to line the numbers up the right way in columns and diagonally. It is like playing 3D Sudoku.

Vexagon Mobile has over 60 puzzles and 12 levels for players to choose from. Additional puzzle packs can be purchased for $0.99 each. This game has pretty decent graphics and is easy to play. It did not crash on us during our tests which was nice to see.

Vexagon Mobile offers an awesome twist on Sudoku. We would love to have the opportunity to play this game on other board shapes too. As it is, it is very entertaining and must try for all Sudoku fans.

Those of you who are fans of crossword puzzles are going to enjoy 7 Little Words. Your goal is to figure out 7 words with 7 clues. If you can’t figure out a word, you can always combine clues to do so. Let’s say you want to guess the chess piece in the above example. You can do so by combining KN, IG, and HT.

7 Little Words comes with easy to follow instructions. The game does not have a time limit, so you can work on your guesses without any pressure. If you need more puzzles, you can purchase them from within this game. Some of these words can be easy but the game does have some challenging puzzles. A solid, entertaining game.

PicGrid is based on a very simple concept. Players should aim to reveal a picture by picking off the right blocks on a grid. Similar in some ways to minesweeper, PicGrid provides players with clues to identify the right blocks. PicGrid currently has 230 puzzles and 3 different board sizes for your to tackle. It should be a familiar game for those of you who have played Nonograms and number puzzles in the past.

PicGrid puzzles are not too easy nor too hard. The app can use more puzzles. It’s nice to see that the developers keep adding them on a consistent basis. PicGrid does have some potential. A social gaming feature would be nice. More board sizes would be helpful too.

If you are looking for an entertaining puzzle game to take with you on the road, PicGrid  is worth a try. While its puzzles won’t be soul crushing, they do kill time and won’t frustrate you.

Zentomino’s puzzles really need no explanation. You are essentially aiming to put together a large shape by using smaller elements. They should not overlap each other. Pretty simple, right? It’s easier said than done. Zentomino has over 200 puzzles and is compatible with Game Center, keeping you busy for a while.

This game has an attractive interface and is pretty responsive. Its puzzles do have various difficulty levels (4-12 piece puzzles). You can get hints from this app, which is nice. I also like the fact that the app can keep track of multiple puzzles that you are trying to solve.

If you are into puzzles and brain games, you have to give Zentomino a try. It’s an attractive game and can keep you going for some time.

Simon Says Classic tests you on the order of things. You are going to need a certain level of concentration and memory power to keep up. Here is how this game works. The buttons light up (in different colors), and your job is to remember the sequence.  The first few levels may be easy but the game does get a bit tricky if you play with it long enough.

Simon Says Classic is a visually attractive game. It’s pretty easy to pick-up and is something you don’t want to put down easily. The game keeps track of your scores, so you can technically play it with your friends and compare your performances.

It is easy to underestimate the power of brain games. But games such as Simon Says Classic can help you keep your brain sharp and increase your level of concentration. You can never have too much concentration!
