StudioApp is a cool music recording application for the iPhone platform that allows you to mix and create your own art fast. It’s sort of like your own mobile recording studio. You get 4 tracks and 30+ instrumentals that you can use to create your own piece of music. You also receive a subscription that gives more instrumentals each and every month.

I thought the user interface was very easy to use and not to difficult to get a handle on. If you have any experience mixing your own music in the past, using StudioApp will be a breeze. You don’t need an expensive music production tool to get the job done these days. Not when you can use your iPhone to do the job.

What I most excited about is the new feature that is coming iPhone 3.0. You will get the ability to record over any instrumentals in your iTunes and multiple effects are supported as well. I guess StudioApp is one more reason to be excited about the new iPhone OS.

I don’t know about you, but there have been times in my life that I wished I had a recorder so I could record what the other side was saying to play it back to them later. A few years ago, you could get those fancy cassette recorders (yummy!) to do the job. But these days, you can do it all with the iPhone. iTalk Recorder is a sound recording application that makes recording sounds easy.

Griffin Technology’s iTalk basically define the quality you want to work in, and the name of the recording, and that’s it. You can set it and forget it. You can also add text notes to your recordings.

Then there is iTalk Sync. iTalk Sync allows you to drag and drop your recordings and transfer them to your computer via Wi-Fi. Overall, iTalk is a useful app for college students, bloggers, and folks who want to record things fast.

Verdict: iTalk application is very useful for recording voice notes and conversations. I do believe that iTalk needs more features to become a heavyweight recording application. It also requires a headset for the iPod Touch (Apple’s fault).  Score: 4/5
