Mixologist is another top lifestyle application on iPhone. It’s designed for serial drinkers and those who want to mix and create new drinks. Now I admit that I am not really an expert when it comes to alcohol and all those different types of drinks, but you don’t have to be an expert in this field to understand why this app is so much popular on iTunes. It comes with lots of drink recipes to choose from and even provides you with a complete list of ingredients so you can start mixing and drinking the right way. So no matter how experienced you are with drinks, you can always use Mixologist as a reference.

Mixologist is very user friendly and is designed to help you mix a drink as fast as possible. The Random tab (see the above screen-shot) lets you find random recipes based on glassware, liquor, and other factors. You Cabinet tab lets you enter what you have in hand to find out what you can make out of them. Very handy if you are a beginner.

The app also provides with all kinds of information that you can use to take your mixing game to the next level. It has all kinds of information on glassware, equipments, bar-tending terminology, and even bar-tending tricks. I also liked the fact that you have various ways to search for drinks and find the one that suits your mood. You can even use the app to find a liquor store by using your GPS in conjunction with Google Maps. If you love this app or its recipes, you can easily share your favorites via e-mail, Twitter, or Facebook.
All in all, Mixologist is a killer iPhone app for those who are into the art of drink mixing and bar-tending. Whether you are an experienced bar-tender or just want to mix drinks for your own party, Mixologist comes very handy. It certainly packs a punch.

This app is fantastic. I would probably pay $9.99 for it. Hell, maybe even more.

[...] Mixologist I’m mostly a wine-and-beer guy, but every now and then I find myself at a beach house with an odd assortment of liquor and mixers. This 99-cent application lets you search for the drink you can make with the ingredients at hand, using a nice interface. There are many other cocktail recipes for the amateur bartender. There’s also a liquor store finder built into it. If this application sounds more appealing than it should, you might consider this one. [...]
