Talk about a mouthful for a name. Zollinger’s Atlas of Surgical Operation, Gastrointestinal: Upper is one of the most recent science iPhone applications released to the iTunes store. This is not really for the faint of heart. This application is designed for people who are students of the art of surgery. Zollinger’s Atlas walks you throw every step of the surgery and also provides you with detailed explanation on how things are done. No, it’s not better than watching the real thing, but it provides you with guides that you can use as refresher just before doing the surgery.
There are 31 procedures covered with this application, making this a super iPhone app for medical students. And the price is not too bad either, if you are a medial student ($34.99). If you are a medical student, then this is probably a must have. But if you are not, I’d pass on this.
