Showlist for iPhone happens to be a useful tool that tracks shows from multiple countries and helps you stay up to date with them.

Showlist has a gesture based interface, allowing you to interact with the app, mark episodes as watched, and even track your statistics. The app can notify you when a new episode of your favorite show will air. It also shows you how long you have spent watching shows and when you will catch up.

Showlist lets you search shows, keep track of your progress, and find out what’s trending on Twitter. It’s not the only app for tracking TV shows though.
