Cosmic Discoveries

Interested in going over photos of the heavens on your iPhone? Cosmic Discoveries is a fun application that contains over 1000 images of our solar system, milky galaxies, and other amazing objects in the sky. You don’t have to a professional astronomer to enjoy the free images that are included in Cosmic Discoveries.

Cosmic Discoveries has a very straightforward interface. All you have to do is choose the image that you’d like to explore more closely and zoom on it. The app does include some background information on some of these photos which is helpful especially if astronomy is not your main hobby.

Cosmic Discoveries includes a decent collection of photos covering our solar system and things that are going on in the Milky Way. It not only has some amazing photos, it lets you share or leave comment on them. More images would be nice though.
