Ness for iPhone
Many folks who love eating out spend the majority of their time at a couple of restaurants they have come to love. Some of us do not have the time to explore every local business in our area to find out which ones are worth doing business with. Ness is an intelligent application for your smartphone that learns from the types of foods and restaurants you like to provide you with new places to visit.
Ness requires your interaction to work properly. The more you use the app, the better its recommendations get. It learns about what you like as you rate your dining experiences. Once it has enough information about you, it uses various sources to find businesses that match your taste.
You are going to have to visit a few places and rate your experiences before you start getting accurate recommendations from Ness. It is essentially a decision engine that uses ratings, reviews, and recommendations from your social circles to produce its results. The UI looks pretty powerful too. I like the fact that it tries to predict how much users will love its listings.
Ness is not flawless though. We would love to be able to offer more detailed feedback on businesses. In theory, this could be a killer app. But you could end up with a few not so great results from time to time. Ness has a lot of potential though. Its developers have grand plans for it which is nice to see.
How would you improve Ness?
