WinZip does not need any introduction as it has been around for desktop computers forever. It is quite a handy piece of software that makes handling zip files a piece of cake. Thanks to WinZip for iOS, you can now open and manipulate zip files on your iPhone or iPad. This is especially useful if you want to open or create zip files on the go.

The app opens and creates zip files on your iPhone. It can handle encrypted zip files as well. WinZip not only opens e-mail attachments, it also lets you preview all kind of files, including .txt, .docx, .xls, and many other file formats. Just like the WinZip app for desktop computers, this one has a pretty easy to use interface as well.

WinZip is free at the time of this writing. If you find yourself dealing with zip files on your smartphone all the time, this app is well worth picking up.
