iEscaper

Are you an escape artist? Maybe you have wanted to try your hands in escaping from inescapable situations. Whatever the case, you are going to have a lot of fun playing with iEscaper. iEscape is a great way to test your problem solving skills and find solution to seemingly impossible situations. The concept is very simple. You are in a Japanese style 3D world, and you are stuck in the middle of enemy territory. In order to make it out alive, you need to solve puzzles and gather items that can help you escape from your situation without getting found by your enemies.

So you are a ninja, stuck in the middle of enemy territory. In order to escape, you need to gather items and solve puzzles. What I like about this game is that it sometimes requires you to combine multiple items and tools to solve puzzles. Sometimes solving one puzzle leads to yet another one. So your problem solving skills are tested over and over again. The rooms get tougher to figure out as you advance through the game. I found the controls to be very easy, and the game overall to be very intuitive. Finding hidden objects is not always easy, so you have to use your curiosity to interact with objects in each room to figure out your next clue.

Don’t forget that you do get an easy equipment management interface that you can use to store the items you pick up for future use. In more complicated rooms, this comes very handy. Overall, I was very impressed with iEscaper. It’s based on a simple concept. Nevertheless, it challenges your problem solving skills and makes you use the muscles that matter the most. The game could be very addictive, and you could spend a lot of time trying to figure out the clues in more advanced rooms. I would have liked to see a few rooms (levels) added to this game, but the game does have enough “levels” to keep you entertained for a while. Great game, great execution. Two thumbs up!
