Let’s not forget that coding is great for your brain. You could always learn how to code by studying books and watching videos. CodeAcademy is a different animal. It is a free application that teaches you how to code in a more practical fashion.

Codecademy helps you get started with programming. You will understand the basic structure of code when you try it. Users are provided with basic code examples they can study to learn how they work. What’s neat about this app is that you can get started with coding and actually learn something as opposed to spending time to read fifty or more pages of a book to get there.
