Remember the good old days when people used to carry a compass with them. That concept still applies today. But you don’t see too many people carry a real compass. Not when they can take advantage of GPS and smartphones to get the job done. 3D Sun & Moon Compass is a super attractive 3D compass that can address the need for a compass on your iPhone. The app shows you the position of the sun and moon and helps you find your way around if you are stuck outdoors.

What’s impressive about is app is its cool design. The app points to the true north and if you know how to take advantage of that, you should be able to get yourself out of trouble when camping or doing other things outdoors. 3D S&M Compass not only shows you the positions of the sun and the moon, it also shows you their 24 hour orbit as well. By changing the data and time, you can see how the positions of the sun and the moon change.

There is really nothing complicated about the user interface of this app. The animation is pretty smooth and the compass is very responsive. The app even looks good on the iPad. Who needs a physical compass when you can get a 3D one such as 3D Sun & Moon Compass.
