I don’t know about you, but I am obsessed with deadlines. Maybe it’s due to my programming background. But I always want to know how many days I have left to finish a project or complete a task. I have been using my Mac OS widgets to keep track of my most important dates, but you can’t beat having a calendar on your phone that helps you stay ahead of your deadlines. Countdown Calendar is a powerful application for iPhone that allows you to count down to any important date by day, week, month, or year (though I don’t plan more than a few months ahead). It’s intuitive, easy-to-use, and effective.

What I like about this app is that you can classify events. It’s one thing to be worried about a baseball game you want to watch live, but you never want to miss your anniversary. Countdown Calendar allows you to classify events under important or fun categories. You can easily mail your countdowns to other Countdown Calendar users to remind them of an important date. You can also download important dates online.

With Countdown Calendar, you no longer have to forget about those important days. And you can easily access your countdown and download more from the web. The interface is very easy to use, and you can easily add events with this app. I would have liked to have the ability to create new categories on my phone. Other than that, Countdown Calendar is a great way to keep track of events and never miss an important date. That’s what I call a life saver.
