Gift shopping has never been my favorite activity. We all have to do it every year though. There are all kinds of occasions for which you will have to think about buying gifts for your friends and family members. Having a gift planning application could certainly make you productive when buying things for others. Gifts HD 2 is a handy application that helps make you a more effective gift shopper.

Gifts HD 2 has an elegant user interface. Unlike the name suggests, it works on iPhone and iPad. It lets you have an unlimited number of “People to Buy for.” What’s neat is this app tracks your contacts over the years so you can see what you have purchased in the past. Users can add a budget for each contact. Gifts purchased, mailed, and wrapped can be tracked too.

Gifts HD 2 is highly configurable and comes with a built-in calculator. It lets you store photos and URLs for the gifts you buy. The countdown tool for important events is nice too. The app is available for free but you can get more out of it with its $2.99 upgrade pack.
