Those of you who have lived in major cities have probably had to circle around to find parking spots in your center city section in the past. That is not ideal if you are late for your meeting or event. Parker is a cool application that can save you time looking for a parking spot. It can show you where open parking spots are as well as the location of the garages you can take your car too.

Parker takes advantage of live information from sensors in select Hollywood streets to provide you with places you can park your car. This information is not available in every city, but the developers promise more coverage in the near future. Parker shows you rates, time limits, and other relevant parking information on the go.

Parker can show you the location of garages and lots all around you (with information you can use to save time and money). Once you have found the location you want to use as your parking spot, you can use your iPhone to navigate your way to it.

Parker is based on a very powerful concept. Unfortunately, the coverage leaves a lot to be desired. For now, if you live in the Hollywood area (or visiting), you can use Parker to save yourself some time and money. The rest of us will have to wait.
