There are plenty of things that can be done online, but sometimes you just want to take advantage of deals that are offered in your local area. The Dealmap is helpful application in that regard. It aggregates local daily deals and makes your life easier in the process.

The Dealmap not only keeps you up-to-date with the latest deals in your area, it does show you the businesses around you on a map. You can add local deals to this app yourself. Just like Foursquare, you can earn badges with this app, except those will be for active community members who submit deals.

DealMap has a filter feature to help you find the right deal for your situation. You can filter results based on business category or deal type. Sharing deals is pretty easy too.

DealMap is not perfect. Some of those local deals are not exactly what you can call deals. Of course, that does not apply to all deals. It’s a pretty interesting app if you want to buy local.
