VoCal – Voice Calendar

We all need reminders from time to time to remember those small little things we have to do. There are plenty of reminder apps in iTunes that alert you via pop-ups and other means when it is time for something. VoCal for iPhone does exactly that except it gives you voice reminders at the time of your own choosing. So instead of getting a beep, this app will remind you of your upcoming tasks in your own voice.

Let’s face it. Nobody likes to forget things, especially when someone else (like your partner) expects you to get something specific done. That’s why these reminder apps so handy. With Vocal, you can quickly record voice reminders for yourself and set the time/date for it to trigger. Vocal will alert you even if you have closed the app.

Vocal is a reminder app on steroids. If you thought those regular reminder apps were handy, think again. Vocal’s interface is pretty intuitive and makes recording and managing your reminders easy. Your messages can be as long as you want them to be (especially handy if you are shopping for your significant other). I like the fact that old reminders are automatically purged. No one needs to know about your little private messages for yourself. The calendar view is especially handy if you want to get a sense of what you have on your plate at a specific date.

Vocal is not your regular reminder app. It lets you record your own voice and set up reminders the way you like. The recording process is easy. If you have made a habit of forgetting things, Vocal can be just the thing you need.
