In the past few years, we have covered plenty of cool astronomy apps here. Sputnik happens to be useful for those of you interested in monitoring the International Space Station as it passes your location. The app predicts where it passes or when an Iridium Flare will be visible in the sky.

The app displays compass direction and elevation on your phone. You get second by second countdown to the satellite sighting. The app doesn’t need an internet connection to perform calculations. It has an Apple Watch interface too.
