Strava GPS Run & Ride Tracker

By  |

Running or riding your bike on a regular basis can do wonders for your health. You need to have a plan to succeed though. There are plenty of applications that show their users where and how to push their body to get fit. Strava happens to be a powerful tool for tracking your runs and rides. The app lets you view and track your activity, share activities with friends, and beat your records to have new ones to go after.

Strava has an elegant design and helps you track your runs. The app covers various stats, including distance, pace, speed, and elevation. To get more data, you may want to invest in ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors. You can always see your results, set new records, and try to beat others. The app also has a social aspect to it, so you can find, follow, and share activities/photos with others.

Strava is free to try but you can get more if you go premium. When you upgrade, you get access to more analysis, indoor training videos, training visualization, and a list of friends who are currently exercising. It does cost you $60 a year to upgrade though. The app did crash on us a couple of times but not something that concerned us a lot. Overall, a solid app for fitness tracking.
