Shark’s Treasure

Minesweeper is one of my favorite games on all time. Being able to guess where the mines are and disabling them is a lot of fun. But wouldn’t it be better if you could see the mines and avoid them? Shark’s Treasure is a very addictive iPhone game that lets you do just that. Your goal is to take control of your submarine and pick up the treasure without heating the mines or getting attacked by the sharks. You get to use the accelerometer to control your submarine and guide it through some rough waters.

Grabbing those treasure chests may look easy at first but wait till you get to harder levels. There are 120 challenging levels available in this app, and after the first 20 or 30 levels, the game gets more difficult and very challenging. Shark’s Treasure comes with 4 levels of difficulty as well. And let me tell you the “crazy” level will make you want to pull your hair out.

If you are tired of the super hard levels, you can always try your hand in the special challenge mode and see where you rank. But there are various sharks in the game and many obstacles to overcome, so this game’s going to challenge you to your limit.

I found the control to be somewhat difficult to operate. Sure. You are using your accelerometer to control your submarine, but it’d be nice to have an alternative way of controlling the submarine (e.g. by fingers). I admit not having that option makes this game one tough nut to crack (especially in crazy mode).

Shark’s Treasure is a gem of a treasure hunting app that will keep you entertained and make you want to come back and challenge yourself again and again. If you are looking for a challenge, I strongly recommend this app. Who knew treasure hunting at sea could be this challenging?
