Vigil for iPhone

Those of you who have had the chance to run a few websites of your own know the importance of monitoring them at all times to catch outages and attacks before they damage your business significantly. Doing this by your own is not very smart. There are many website monitoring services that could get the job done for you. Vigil for iPhone is one of many tools you can use to monitor your websites and get notified when something goes wrong.

Vigil lets you add an unlimited number of websites. It provides you with status code, download speed, and other useful data regarding your website. The user-interface is simple and makes tracking the status of multiple website super easy. If a site of yours goes down, Vigil sends you a push notification. The tool also notifies you when your site comes back up. It graphs your site’s performance to give you an idea how your server is doing.

Vigil is free to download but is not a free service. Subscription plans start at $9.99 a year. The tool makes tracking multiple sites easy. I personally prefer getting a phone call when my sites go down though.
