Chessbase needs no introduction. It is behind some of best chess engines around the globe (software programs such as Fritz, Hiarcs, Junior, …). Chessbase products are not designed for newbies per se. They are powerful enough to provide even grandmasters with some value. Chessbase Online is developed for those of you who want to do your own research and go through games played to learn new tactics for your upcoming tournaments.

Chessbase Online gives you access to millions of chess games online. The database is updated on a weekly basis, providing you with the opportunity to keep up with the latest developments in this game. The app allows you to search through games by player or opening position. Statistics for moves are very important too.

Chessbase Online has a lot of potential and can be a life saver for anyone interested in taking their chess game to the next level. We did find some bugs in this app though. The search functionality did break on us. The app crashes from time to time as well.

Based on previous products that Chessbase has introduced to the market, we expect the company to to fix the current bugs fast. Chessbase Online could become an extraordinary research tool with its bugs taken care of.
