Tower defense games are quite popular among iPhone owners. The cream of the crop among these games are not only addictive and fun but also challenging. Due to these games popularity, we have seen many variations released to iTunes. So you are no longer limited to games that involve defending castles and towers. Take Coast Guard for instance. Your goal in this game is to defend your island against the pirate ships before they can sink your ships. Unlike those tower defense games, there is a whole other dimension to this game, which makes it more challenging and fun.

Coast Guard is very simple in concept but very addictive at the same time. You have 6 types of enemies to deal with, and you do have various weapons to fight against these enemies. There are a lot of things to keep an eye on, so want to make sure you pay attention to everything that is going on your screen if you want to better your score.

The graphics are decent but nothing earth shattering. The game is easy to pick up in general. The game is challenging, and you need to be tactical if you want to increase your overall score. I would have loved to see more challenging enemies and more ways to engage the enemy ships, but as it is the game is still a load of fun. Certainly a fun coast guard game for iPhone.
