Have you ever been in a situation where you have wanted to send someone a drink quickly? Maybe you want break the ice with someone or buy a drink for your friends on the go. Bartab is an innovative iPhone application that lets you do just that. Those of you who live in the San Francisco area can take advantage of this app to send and receive drinks from friends, colleagues, and maybe even strangers.

The app is quite very simple to use. All you have to do is select the drink you want to send to your friends and pay $1 to send it. The drinks you send will show up on the recipients’ Facebook wall. If you are lucky enough to receive a drink, you can use this app to find places to redeem it.

Bartab is a very good demonstration of how one can become a successful app developer by thinking outside-the-box and innovating. Bartab is very simple to use and delivers what it promises. Sending and receiving drinks with it can be quite a lot of fun. I do wish the developers bring this app to more cities.
