Transporter

Many of us prefer driving our own cars instead of taking the public transportation system in our cities. If you live in a city that has a lousy transportation system, you may not have a choice. Using a public transportation system is not without its headaches. You certainly do not want to miss your bus or train nor would you want to end up at the wrong station. Those of you living in the Bay Area can count on Transporter to keep you out of trouble.

Transporter has an attractive interface. It provides you with real time arrivals for buses and trains you want to ride. It also tells you when you are going to get to your destination. This is very helpful if you still haven’t gotten a hang of the public transportation system in the Bay Area.

Transporter shows you the list of upcoming stations, so you can tap on the right one to get your ETA. It can find you nearby stops and keeps track of your favorite ones too. At the time of this writing, Transporter supports SF MUNI, BART, AC Transit.

Transporter is so good I wish it was available for other regions around the nation. It takes the guesswork out of using the public transportation system in the Bay Area. It is free at this time which is always nice.
