You can’t get fit and lose weight if you don’t exercise every day. Not everyone has time to visit a gym on a daily basis. But even walking for 30 minutes could help you burn a few calories. Apps such as StepOn allow you to track your steps, calories burned, distance, and time. It aims to track activity even when it is in your bag or pocket and chart your data to help you make progress.
StepOn has a clean user interface. It charts your step counts daily, weekly, monthly, and annually. It uses 3D motion tracking algorithms to track your step counts. The device also keeps track of calories burned, distance, and time. You can personalize the app by changing daily goal, sensitivity, weight, and other information. The app also supports iCloud.
The app has a user friendly design and is nice to look at. We are not quite sure how accurate it is though. I still prefer using a real heart rate monitor and an app from Wahoo or other developers to track fitness metrics.
