Barcodas

We have seen plenty of decent barcode readers in the past. iPhone owners can take advantage of these applications to find the best prices, look up the food they are picking up, and save some time researching on the go. Barcodas takes this concept to a whole new level by adding a music element to the process.

Barcodes are everywhere you look. Most products you can buy have these marks on them. Barcodas allows you to scan any European Article Number or UPC and turn it into a musical pattern. This actually makes shopping at stores a whole lot of fun as you never know what you can get from this application.

As you try different barcodes and play with its harmonic scale, you will discover new tunes. You can share your tunes on Facebook too. I would love to see more export functions in this application. Supporting other social networks would be nice too. This application is not compatible with iPod Touch at this point. Let’s hope that changes soon.
