iKana Touch

The Japanese language is one beautiful language to learn and master. Of course, it won’t be easy, especially for those of us who only speak and write in English. Apps such as iKana Touch make learning this language a whole lot easier. It combines flash cards with stroke animations so you can learn and master hiragana and katakana on your iPhone.

iKana Touch contains flash cards to teach you how to write in Japanese. You also get words with sound clips so you can hear the kana pronounced when you are trying to write. The app lets you test yourself and review kana you have gotten wrong in the past. iKana Touch’s speed and writing tests not only improve your skills, they also make you want to come back for more.

iKana Touch does have a smooth interface and makes a great learning tool for folks studying the Japanese language. It did crash on us a few times though. It is still worth playing around with.
