Inkling

Have you ever wanted to create your own artwork on your iPhone? Since the device is a touch-capable gadget, there is no reason you can’t use your fingers to let your creativity fly. Inkling is an exciting sketch application that enables you to draw like a pro on the go and express yourself no matter where you are. All you need to do is use your fingers.

Your drawings with this app will look somewhat similar to Sumi-e. Except you are using your fingers and not a real brush to get the job done. The app only allows for black & white drawings, but there are plenty of things you can draw without needing color. What I like about this app is the fact that it is very responsive and can make thin and thick lines with the same stroke, depending on how fast your draw.

Inkling is not going to make an artist out of you. If you are a fan of drawing and have your way with brushes, you can create some cool artwork with Inkling. It’d be great if the app allowed for more ways to share created artwork with others. Regardless, it’s a solid app for artists.
