Even though the economy is not in the greatest condition, the race between President Obama and the GOP nominee is expected to be very close. One can always get a better idea where the election is headed by using data from social networking sites such as Twitter. This may not be the most accurate way to measure where an election is headed but you can a lot about trends with the right tools. Twelect 2012 is such a tool for Twitter.

Twelect lets you analyze data and patterns based on Twitter data. It uses an advanced algorithm that pairs data with emotion factor so you can better make sense of it all. Twitter data may not always be the most accurate but Twelect helps you make sense of it. The results are instantaneous which means you won’t have to wait for bi-monthly or weekly results.

Twelect 2012 is very fun to play around with, especially if you are following this election closely. It not only shows you pertinent Twitter data but also includes the latest polls and live feed so you can keep up with your favorite candidate on your iPhone or iPad. Twelect is based on an interesting idea but not perfect. It has a lot of potential though.
