Whether you are looking for a cute weather app or a tool to help you analyze climate trends in your area, the App Store has something for you. Rainspotting is an attractive tool that aims to help you get ahead of the rain in your area. It tells you what’s coming your way and how long it could last.

Rainspotting tells you whether rain is approaching your location. It also tells you its direction and how long it will last. Rainspotting gives you an idea how intense it will rain so you can prepare accordingly. The app lets you change the distance for finding nearby rain. It uses your phone’s GPS feature to provide you with location-based readings.

Rainspotting has an elegant design. While you should not use an app like this to make life/death decisions, the app is more than decent in giving you an idea about what’s coming your way. In order to get notification alerts you will need to upgrade to Rainspotting Plus though. We liked RainAware better but this app has got potential.
