iLightningCam Photography App
Have you ever seen amazing lightning photos on Flickr and other photo sharing sites. Many of those who take the pictures are experienced photographers with years of training. That does not mean you should wait years to try capturing your own lighting strikes. Apps such as iLightningCam might help you get better results. This app tries to automatically captures a shot when it detects a lightning is imminent.
iLightningCam aims to make capturing lightning strikes on your phone easy. Just point it to the part of the sky you want to capture and wait for the app to do the rest. You can choose photo and video apps. The app automatically triggers the camera at the right time, or at least it tries to. Our results have been a bit of a mixed bag with this app. Nevertheless, it does have the ability to capture photos in up to 8 MP resolution. You can also get full HD videos.
iLightningCam is optimized for iPhone 5s. It lets you capture photos of lightning strikes around you. We didn’t always have success with it, but the idea has potential.
