Microsoft Remote Desktop for iPhone

Many iPhone and iPad owners also have Windows machines in their homes. Being able to connect to your computer remotely is a nice option to have. Microsoft Remote Desktop is the official app for the job. It lets you connect to your PC remotely to open apps, interact with Windows, and watch videos. Windows 8 gestures are supported.

We tested Microsoft Remote Desktop with Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. The app works just fine and is simple to use. You need to enable the remote desktop feature on your computer to use this app. Microsoft Remote Desktop provides you with a nice multi-touch experience with RDP and RemoteFX. Connection to external monitors or projectors is also supported.

Microsoft Remote Desktop is a universal application. It is not our favorite remote desktop client for Windows but simply does what it promises. The experience could be more smooth though.
